December 17.09 - The next album is taking shape.
The playtime will be around 70 minutes(as tradition demands), and the label is planning a spring release.
Orchestration this time is more grandiose than ever, and the vocals contains alot more variation.
Funeral is more hungry than ever, and looking forward to presenting new material, as well as playing much more live!
Watch out for excerpts from new tracks!

July 28.09 - A unmixed pre-production medley of the next album can now be found on our myspace page!
Indie Recordings is planning to release the album sometime in the first half of 2010. The new songs are more variated than before, and alot of the material is heavier than in years. 17 songs are recorded so far, and we are in discussion with the label about the possibility to release a 2cd album. Roger Bjørge (Illusion Suite) will also this time contribute with orchestration.

November 18.08 - Time to give you guys a little update! We are currently planning a three week tour in europe, which will take place in early 2009, with two other cult doom-metal bands! Await further details. We are also allready working on brand new tracks for the next release, which will hopefully see the dark of night sometime in '09!

August 20.08 - We are sorry to announce yet another delay on the album. New releasedate is September 22.

August 13.08 - Allright, finally a big update from your friendly neighbourhood gravediggers! The album is done, and will be released on Monday, september 15. It is called "As the light does the shadow", and will contain 10 tracks. We are very pleased to announce that one of the tracks (In the fathoms of wit and reason) feautures Robert Lowe (candlemass, solitude aeturnus) on vocals!

June 10.08 - Album update! The new album is currently in the mixing process, and it sounds outstanding! Stay tuned for the announcement of the legendary guest singer! Also, we will reveal the album title shortly!

May 11.08 - Due to touring, we haven't been able to post anything here for a few days. So here's a few updates..
We are very pleased to announce that our new label is Indie Recordings.
The new album will be released september 1st on both regular cd, vinyl and a limited edition cd with a DVD.

Stay tuned for the announcement of a legendary singer doing a guest-appearance on one whole track on the upcoming album!
